The Federal Government's Eco Energy Grants are back on for a limited time. They include up to $5000.00 of tax free money towards home improvements, which include rental properties as well. Simply have a registered energy auditor perform a test on your home (if you need a name and number of an inspector, please call our office 1-877-429-8377).
Geothermal or ground source heating and cooling installed in a home for the first time will qualify you for $4375.00. An ERV or HRV will qualify you for $375.00. Our gas/ propane/ oil furnaces also have varying amounts as well as boilers, toilets and many other renovations such as basement and attic insulation.
Once your home renovations are completed including your new heating and cooling system from the Hayter Group, you will need to have the auditor back to verify all the work, but you must have it all completed and paperwork filed by March 31, 2012.
